Rex Brobbey: Only GTV and Malawi TV Have Broadcasting Rights To Black Stars Match

Country representative of Sport five, right holders of the African Cup qualifiers, Rex Brobbey has said that only Ghana Television and Malawi Television had the broadcasting right to telecast live the match between Ghana and Malawi on Saturday September 8,2012. Speaking in an interview with Peace Power sports, he said anyone with a video camera coming into the stadium will be made to hand them over and collect them after the match. The only two TV stations that will be allowed to have video cameras at the stadium will be GTV and Malawi TV, he told Peace Fm in an interview. He confirmed that GTV had informed them that they will be using six (6) cameras whilst Malawi TV will be using two (2) cameras for the live coverage of the African Cup qualifying match between Ghana and Malawi. Besides these 8 cameras no other video camera will be allowed in Accra Sports Stadium, he warned. He added that the two television networks had the right to Pre-match and Post-match coverage. However, he told Peace FM that any television network in Ghana who wants to broadcast live the match would have to contact GTV for negotiations. He pleaded that sports right needed to be respected by Television stations and any other media outlet for peace to prevail.
