Raphael Roger Beckley, Chairman of the Cadre Forum of the National Democratic Congress, has called on members to stay united and bury their differences in their quest of securing a resounding victory in the 2012 elections. �Our party will win the 2012 elections and we will have President Mahama as President only if we get to serious business and ultimately remain a united front�. He said the forum was convinced beyond doubt that the party was going to come out victorious in the forthcoming general elections. Mr Beckley made the call when a team of cadres visited the region to interact with some members of the regional chapter of the cadre front to unit members to forge ahead in support of President Mahama. He said President Mahama, a cadre himself, was divinely chosen by God, recounting an incident at the just ended extraordinary conference of the NDC in Kumasi where a white dove perched on the right shoulder of the President. This according to him was evident of the fact that �President Mahama had been divinely chosen by God to lead the country from where the late President Mills left off�. He explained the reason why all cadres needed to support the President, saying he was exuding the same virtues and qualities as the late President displayed humility, honesty and love for the people of Ghana. He said that the Heritage Fund established by the late President Mills for generations yet unborn required to be better protected, adding that it was only the NDC that had the capacity with ideological inclination to protect it. The chairman said they had taken delivery of two Pick-Up vehicles and a number of motor bikes for cadres in the region as part of the President Mahama�s commitment in supporting them. The Team earlier paid a courtesy call on the Upper East Regional minister, Mr Mark Owen Woyongo and reiterated their renewed commitment to supporting the President�s efforts to retaining Power. Mr Woyongo also assured the group of his personal commitment to ensure President Mahama retained the seat, saying �we can only ensure his victory only if we work hard and not be complacent�. He appealed to the supposed splinter groups in the cadre front to unit and forge ahead in one direction albeit their differences. Meanwhile, the Interim Regional Chairman of the Cadre Front, Mr Alagskomah Asakeya Nable, in an interview with the Ghana News Agency (GNA) conceded there were some divisions among the cadre front in the region, attributing it to the greed of some of its members. He therefore called on the leadership to have a forum to iron out these differences to ensure that the NDC stayed in power.
