Makola Traders Shoot Down Nana Addos Free SHS Well Work To Pay Fees

Traders at the Makola market in Accra whose contribution to the socio-economic development of the country cannot be ignored have made nonsense of the free Senior High School education promise, which is being desperately espoused by the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo. According to the traders, Nana Addo should keep to himself the promise since they are traders whose businesses have generated income which has put them in a position to pay the fees of their wards. The traders made this known last Wednesday when the President, Mr. John Dramani Mahama took the last day of a two-day Grater Accra Thank you tour to wrap up the Presidents customary expression of appreciation to chiefs and people of the various regions. The president had gone there to interact with them as part of the whistle-stop at various markets after visiting the resident of Chorkor and James town, both fishing communities. The traders did not only rubbish the SHS promise but also threw their support behind President Mahama with the explanation they will not waste their vote on Nana Addo, following the crowd which they have seen with the Thank You Tours. Celebrated and international boxer, Brimah Kamoko, who is also known as Bukum Banku, in his curtain raising remarks to introduce the President advised President Mahama to be strategic when dealing with an opponent of a lesser height. Using himself as an example, he noted that as a boxer when he goes into the ring to face an opponent he is taller than, he changes position in the ring, saying because short people are dangerous. Mr. Mahama, who mounted the bucket of a pickup vehicle to address the massive crowd at Makola, after touring the market, thanked them for keeping business alive in the central district, saying they are the heartbeats of trade and commerce.
