Ban Loud Mouth Politicians Eva Lokko

The only female running mate contesting in the presidential elections for the December polls, Eva Lokko, has said that one of the ways of dealing with the politics of insults in Ghana is by shutting people up by shutting the microphone... if this persists you ban them from your station and newspaper." Speaking on Citi Hangouts, Citi FM's exclusive on-line interactive platform provided by Google Plus hangouts on-air, she noted that "I think if you do that all of us will sit up because then we will never be able to talk to the public that we want to talk to." She pointed out that "we also have the responsibility of being disciplined adults and therefore leading by examples and also have the courage to talk to our supporters and explain to them that politics is not about insults, its all about issues and approach to solving problems. Answering questions on how to deal with faulted contracts like the STX, the Progressive People's Party vice presidential candidate said in terms of contracts I have a very simple solution; every international contract is guided by policies, principles, rules and regulations. The simplest thing that you do is to follow them to the letter. If you follow them to the letter, there is nothing that is going to go wrong that cant be solved easily by referring to the documents that everybody has signed. In her opinion, the only way to avoid problems with contracts is to stick to the rules, policies, and regulations and so on. Writing a good contract to start with is the key. Touching on the current situation with regard the Ghana-Ivory Coast border dispute, The PPP running mate said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should be talking to the Ivorian counterpart to assure and give them relevant information to make them feel relaxed about the situation. The faster we start dialoguing the better it will be for both countries because we are neighbours and we have to maintain peace and also be supportive to each other. Madam Lokko is one of many high ranking politicians who have appeared on Citi Hangouts with NPP Vice presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and PPP founder, Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum also appearing on the platform.
