Formation Of NDP IS Wicked, Mischievous And A Smack Of Political Sabotage

Though everybody has the right to form and belong to any political party, I think the recent formation of the National Democratic Party especially the insistent to continue to secure a certificate for the party to become fully operational is wicked, mischievous and an attempt to cause political stir in the NDC which is the parent political party. One way or the other, many of us have had the cause to question certain development in the NDC, but this was a direct challenge to the leadership style of our late leader, prof. Mills. In my candid opinion, since the internal rancor had to do with the leadership style of the former leader of the party, it will rather be logical to soften our stand and ensure that full cooperation is given to the new leader. Again, I think that the most catastrophic and political blunder any politician can commit is to leave his parent party to form a new political party just because of mere internal disagreement. I also think the forceful attempt to link the former first family to the formation of NDP is to create mischief and distort the grassroot of the NDC. I hope and pray that the former first lady will not accept to become the flagbearer of such party. This is based on what she told us after the Sunyani congress that, it is better to stay in and fight for what is right rather than stay away. For now, it is only Nana Konadu who can be truly described as an active first lady Ghana has ever had and her influence and experiences in active politics is unmeasurable but the most regrettable mistake any fine politician like her could make is to accept to become the flagbearer for a different political party. I also believe she stands a better chance of becoming the first female president of this country if she remains active in NDC politics. I therefore want to use this opportunity to call on the former first lady to boldly reject such catastrophic gift the NDP is forcing to offer her, and let all of us especially her supporters rally behind the president and campaign to ensure that he becomes the next president of Ghana. We cannot afford to compromise our chances for a visionless opposition political party. I believe we will definitely see a better life under the presidency of his Excellency John Mahama than any of the other presidential aspirants. GO BLESS OUR GREAT PARTY, THE NDC.
