The Minister of Defense, Lt. General Henry Smith has for the first time defended the creation of a Special Force within the nation�s army saying Ghana needs their services.
He said the Special Forces would be of significant importance to the country because they would be used for special operations which would be of benefit to the country.
The creation of the Special Forces became a topical issue with the NPP early this year.
According to the NPP, government created the Special Forces to possibly forment trouble in the upcoming December polls.
