NDC Chairman Beats Man To Death

RESIDENTS OF Ahwia near Kumasi were thrown into mourning when the National Democratic Congress (NDC) chairman for the Kwabre East Constituency, Awal Aziz Mohammed, allegedly beat to death a lotto seller in the community. The NDC chairman was said to have thrown caution to the wind and subjected a 37-year-old Kwadwo Owusu Ansah, a mobile lotto seller, to severe beatings, leading to his untimely death. The Mamponten police are currently interrogating the suspect to establish his culpability. Uncle of the deceased, Mathew Acheampong, claimed his nephew was thrown against the inner culvert of a gutter after suffering hefty blows from the assailant, Awal Aziz Mohammed. He explained that the victim incurred the wrath of the suspect after he (Kwadwo) tried to avert a confrontation between the NDC chairman and one Nuri Mafia, a semi-mentally insane man who purportedly slammed his hand on Awal�s pick-up vehicle with registration number GS 1261-11 The NDC guru allegedly carried out the cruel attack on Thursday, September 20, 2012 after the deceased asked Awal to pardon Nuri Mafia, Mr. Acheampong narrated. DAILY GUIDE gathered that the suspect reportedly gave the victim hefty blows many times, which sent Kwadwo crashing into the nearby gutter before some neighbours could rush to his rescue. He died two days later after vomiting blood in his home at Ahwia in the Kwabre District of the Ashanti Region.
