NPP Dead Serious To Improve Teachers Lives Nana Addo

The presidential candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Akufo-Addo, has pledged that his administration will give teachers the opportunity to pursue further studies at the expense of the State. According to him, the State will bear the cost of their education to improve the quality of education in the country. Addressing students at the Offinso College of Education as part of his campaign tour of the Ashanti Region, the NPP flagbearer stated that the party was determined to improve the lives of teachers. He said: We want to make it possible for you to continue to upgrade your own skills either by a well developed system of distance learning or by making it possible for you to be able to improve your various grades, masters, doctorates etc at the expense of the State without any reduction to your salary. According to him, the NPP is dead serious about all the commitments that we are making about education and especially, we are dead serious about making sure that our teacher population is well satisfied and well motivated. Nana Addo also promised to ensure that teachers in the country are accorded the necessary respect, incentive and motivation and look at the whole system of reward for teachers in Ghana.
