Ghanaian champions Asante Kotoko have sold midfielder Daniel Nii Adjei to TP Mazembe, MTNFootball.com understands.
Mazembe, four-time African champions, are said to have paid US$ 150,000 for the services of last season�s Ghana Premier League Most Valuable Player.
The offensive midfielder-cum-winger will also earn not less than US$ 10,000 a month.
The transfer of the club�s most experienced player to help Kotoko offset some of its debt which runs into millions of dollars.
�I can confidently say that Nii Adjei is on his way out of Kotoko,� Kotoko spokesperson Listowell Bukarson said.
Adjei spent close to eight seasons at Kotoko and rose to become one of their key players.
He played in Sunday�s 2-0 win over New Edubiase United in the Ghana Super Cup.
