NDC And NPP Are Guilty Of Personality Attacks - Fritz Baffour

The Minister for Information, Fritz Baffour has challenged both the NPP and the NDC to focus on issue-based campaigns rather than the politics of personality attacks. Commenting the NPPs recent press conference where the party alleged that President John Mahama was engaged in corrupt practices, Mr. Baffour said the two leading parties in the country must discuss how they intend on improving the lives of Ghanaians. He said: I dont want to pre-empt our response on Thursday but I thought we were going away from that kind of politics. I wasnt pleased at all. I try to get away from the personality type of attacks on our politicians and I thought it was unfair. We just have to talk about our politics and the policies and I think both sides are guilty but from my point of view, I will follow the Presidents line and not attack personalities, he added. The NDC is however scheduled to address a press conference on Thursday to launch its 2012 manifesto and also respond to allegations levelled against its flagbearer by the NPP.
