KEEA branch of NDC will win by 15,000 vote margin -Thompson

Mr Stephen Thompson, Campaign Manager of Dr. Ato Quarshie, has predicted a 15,000 vote margin between the National Democratic Congress (NDC) partys presidential candidate, President John Dramani Mahama and that of the New Patriotic Partys (NPP) candidate Nana Akuffo-Addo. The margin during the last election was 9,000, but Mr Thompson said the support the NDC was gaining on the ground was awesome and it will secure thta party a win. He was addressing a large number of NDC supporters dressed in party colours on Tuesday after they had turned out massively for a keep-fit exercise at Elmina in support of Dr Ato Quarshie, a former Member of Parliament (MP) of the Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem (KEEA) constituency, who is vying as an Independent Candidate. Dr Quarshie is standing as an independent candidate following calls from the grassroot supporters in the constituency to the executive to field him as the parliamentary candidate to salvage the seat from being lost as they accused Dr Annan, the elected candidate, of being arrogant and snobbish. The large crowd danced to brass-band music parading through some principal streets of the town and converged at the Marine Park at Elmina where they were addressed by Mr Thompson and Mr Michael Nkrumah, the spokesperson and the communications director of Dr Quarshie. Mr Nkrumah indicated that Dr. Quarshie and his good works were well known in the constituency and therefore he would win one touch with an appreciable margin adding, Dr Quarshie is our candidate and we will not drop him for anything, he declared. He said the people had no choice but to bring Dr Quarshie back to save the NDC from losing the KEEA seat as their executives failed to listen to them adding that the election of Dr Quarshie was a forgone conclusion. Dr Quarshie is preparing to launch his campaign soon.
