Mum Of 3 Wins National Best Teacher Award

Mrs. Patricia Ampofowaa Boso, a teacher of Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) has been awarded the National Best Teacher for 2012 at a colourful ceremony in Kumasi attended by the Vice-President Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur on Friday afternoon. Mrs. Ampofowaa Boso is a teacher in Electronics precisely radio and television at KTI. The mother of three (3) is also the Head of Electronics Department at KTI. She teaches Basic Electricity and Communication Technology. The Kumasi Technical Institute (KTI) teacher will receive as her prize; a 3-bedroom house which will be sponsored and constructed by Top Kings Limited, a Life insurance cover of Gh₵50,000.00 and a cash prize of Gh₵5,000.00 from the Ministry of Education proudly supported by Isaac Books and Stationery Service for the purchasing of land. Mr. Philip Kwabena Bukari from Sekondi College was the 1st runner-up and took away a brand new Nissan hard body Pick-up donated by telecommunications giant MTN. The 2nd runner-up Mr. Isaac Agonodoye from T.I Ahmadiyaah Senior High School in Kumasi took away a brand new Sunny Saloon car donated by mobile phone giant rlG communications, a laptop, a set of computer and printer for his school and a life insurance cover of Gh₵20,000.00 from SIC Life. The Director-General of the Ghana Education Service, Madam Benedicta Naana Biney read a citation in their honour. The theme for the occasion was; �Take a Stand for Teachers�
