Government Acquires 1,400 Vehicles & Special boats For Ghana Police Service

Government has acquired 1,400 Vehicles for the Ghana Police Service to assist them in their operational duties. Additionally, Special boats are also being provided for the newly trained Marine Police who will be patrolling the countries inland waters to stop the incidence of pair trawling and other illegal activities in the country's territorial waters. President John Dramani Mahama announced this when he inaugurated a residential facility for post recruits of the Police Training Depot at Ho. He stated that the Peace being enjoyed in the country is due to the efficiency of the Security Services and so government will do everything possible to ensure that the security services are adequately resourced. The Ghana Police Service has already received Motorcycles, State of the Art Communication gadgets and bullet proof jackets.
