Call To Eschew Corruption

Pastors and politicians have been advised to eschew corruption and uphold the tenets ofdemocracy and the peace the country is currently enjoying. This is very crucial especially since the country will be going to the polls in December this year to elect leaders for the nation. The advise was given by a Media Consultant, G.B.K Owusu at the opening of an Evangelism and Bible Training College for the Bethesda Centre of Evangelism at Anomawobi in the Central Region. The College, which was constructed at the cost of five hundred thousand Ghana cedis, is the first to be opened by the Bethesda Centre in Africa. Mr. Owusu, who was the guest speaker for the ceremony, said politics is a service to the people and not an avenue to indulge in corruption, violence and vengeance. He also called on the security services, the judiciary and journalists not to allow politicians to use them as pawns to pursue their selfish agenda. The Director and Founder of the College, Sharna Welty, said the school will live up to its mission of making standards self sufficient in every area of life.
