NPP's Frances Essiam attacked At Adenta

The New Patriotic Parliamentary candidate for the Adenta Constituency Frances Essiam has been attacked by unknown gunmen at her residence. Details of the armed robbery attack are not yet known but sources close to XYZ News says the NPP firebrand was attacked at her home at Adenta. Frances Essiam becomes the fourth high profile NPP member to be attacked by armed robbers in the last one month. NPP member and Chairman of the Public Accounts Committee, Kan Dapaah was the also attacked and had several valuables taken from his residence. The General Secretary of the NPP, Nana Ohene Ntow was also attacked by unknown assassins at his residence. He told an Accra based radio station that �at about 2am, I was asleep in my room and usually I would lock my bedroom door before I go to sleep; I realized someone was trying to force it open. I thought it was my young son, so I started calling his name. �Then somebody started saying, �open the door� and I said who are you, he said �if you don�t open the door I will force it�I opened the door and here was this gentleman masked with a machete and another thing that looked like a pistol and he said he had been sent to come and kill me, but I looked like a pastor so he was not going to kill me�. A former boss of Data Bank and cousin to NPP flagbearer Nana Akufo Addo Ken Ofori-Atta was also attacked by unidentified gunmen recently at his residence. Mr. Ofori-Atta, who was in the company of his cousin, Edward Akufo-Addo, managed to escape unhurt. The Police are yet to officially make any arrests since the attacks started.
