FINALLY...Nana Konadu Resigns From NDC

Former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, has reportedly resigned from the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC). Speaking to the Daily Graphic, the former First Lady said her resignation was to pave the way for her to begin the process of filing her nomination to contest the flag bearership race of the National Democratic Party (NDP). According to the national daily, the former NDC Second Vice Chair's resignation comes amidst speculations that she is going to run for the presidency as flagbearer of the breakaway party of the NDC, the NDP, who will be going for a National Congress tomorrow, Saturday October 13th. Mrs Rawlings, last year resigned from her position as the party's Second Vice-Chairperson in order to contest the late President J.E.A Mills for the NDC flagbearership at the infamous Sunyani Delegates' Congress.
