Mr Samuel Adu Yeboah, Central Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has challenged the founder of the party, Former President Jerry John Rawlings to mention the corrupt people he said were in the NDC or hold his peace. Speaking to the Ghana News Agency at Cape Coast, Mr Adu Yeboah said it was unfortunate that the Former President had been making blanket allegations of corruption against the party without pointing out a single person as being corrupt. He said as the founder, he was mandated by the constitution to discipline any member who was not abiding by the principles on which the party was founded. The Regional NDC Chairman pointed out that the behaviour of the founder right from the assumption of office of the late President Mills Government indicated that he had a secret agenda to support his wife, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings in her bid for the presidency. He said nobody within the NDC was against his support for the wife but said that he should not use that �to give the dog a bad name and hang it.� Mr Adu Yeboah said it had been stated in the Bible that; �No one can serve faithfully two masters,� and since ex-President Rawlings' wife had founded a party and he had decided to support her, it would be better for him to join the wife and leave the NDC alone. He appealed to members of the NDC to ignore the former President and concentrate on their campaign strategy to win the upcoming election to enable the party to continue with the Better Ghana agenda which had given hope to many Ghanaians.
