President John Dramani Mahama has underscored the need for Christians to assume political positions to provide Godly leadership in steering the affairs of the country. He said contrary to the perception that politics is a dirty game, politics is about providing effective leadership in addressing the needs of the citizenry. To this end, it is imperative for God fearing people to take up the mantle to lead the development drive of the country. President Mahama said this at the Golden Jubilee celebration of the Tema Community 2 Prince of Peace Presbyterian Church in Tema. It was on the theme: �Celebrating the faithfulness of our God�.
