Reports reaching adomonline.com indicate a campaign vehicle of Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Deputy Minister of Information and NDC parliamentary candidate for North Tongu has knocked down and killed a 38-year-old man at Mepe in the Volta Region.
William Yaka died at the Battor Government Hospital from wounds sustained when a wall fell on him after the driver of the pickup vehicle lost control and run into the wall.
The brother of the deceased, Eric Yaka, tells adomonline.com the driver of the vehicle has since been arrested by the Aveyime police.
Efforts to reach Mr Ablakwa or constituency executives have so far proved futile.
