The mission of Madam Cherita Sarpong, running mate for Dr. Abu Sakara, flagbearer of the Convention People�s Party (CPP), was to make the ordinary person understand the various issues existing in the country, says Abu Sakara. According to the CPP flagbearer, the CPP knew that Vice President Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur and Dr. Mawumudu Bawumia, running mate of Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), will be bombarding listeners and viewers with figures, and so there was the need to bring in Madam Sarpong to simplify the issues. He commended Madam Cherita Sarpong for explaining �those complex issues�, adding, it is important to translate those figures for the ordinary people to understand. Commenting on yesterday�s Institute of Economic Affairs� (IEA) Vice Presidential Debate held in Takoradi, Dr. Abu Sakara said: �My candidate has shown a grasp and understanding of the issues at the fundamental level and she has shown the ability to convey complex issues in a simple way for the ordinary person to understand and bring it down to their level. That was her mission� We knew that our two ex-governors (Paa Kwesi Amissah Arthur and Dr. Mawumudu Bawumia) will be throwing figures at each other bamboozling everybody with figures that does not translate into money and she has been able to make sense of those arguments� Apparently, Dr. Abu Sakara was the only flagbearer present at yesterday�s evening encounter with the Vice Presidential candidates.
