Government has directed the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to do all within its power to provide the necessary care for the former Vice President of Ghana, His Excellency Alhaji Aliu Mahama. The decision was announced after a meeting between the Chief of Staff, Mr. Henry Martey Newman and the authorities of the Hospital on the instructions of the President, His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama. A press statement signed by the Public Relations Officer of the Hospital, Mustapha Salifu indicated that �government was ready to offer the needed support for the recuperation of the former Vice President.� Earlier reports in the media indicated that Alhaji Aliu Mahama was in critical condition at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital. The first National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), T.B Damba however denied the reports and indicated that the former Vice President was responding positively to treatment.
