PHOTO: NDC Posters Pasted On NPPs Nii Adjiri Blankson's Wall

Stanley Nii Adjiri Blankson, a former Mayor of Accra, is seething after posters of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) were pasted on the walls of his house.

The former Accra Mayor, a founding member of the largest opposition party, New Patriotic Party (NPP), woke up early Friday morning to surprisingly find several posters of his political opponents pasted on the wall of his Dansoman residence, describing it as an abominable act.

The posters had the portraits of Victoria Hammah, the NDC parliamentary candidate for Ablekuma South and President John Dramani Mahama, flagbearer of the NDC while those of the NPP flagbearer and parliamentary candidate for the area, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Ursula Owusu respectively were either defaced or removed.

He believes the act was committed by NDC members under the cover of darkness.

Mr. Adjiri Blankson indicated that knowing very well my stature in the NPP, they must be doing this to just provoke me.

I want to warn the NDC that those days of violence are over. I've gone pass the days when my reaction to this would have been very violent; I've gone pass that stage now and I want them to appreciate the fact that we are now in an era where we should be each other's keeper.

Mr. Adjiri Blankson, an influential member of the NPP's 2012 campaign team noted that I am sending a note of caution to them that they should desist from taking advantage of people to go round to paste posters on the walls of others who have no relation with the NDC; it's an insult for someone to come here and see NDC posters all over my fence wall.

He has since ordered his boys to remove most of the said posters.

At the time DAILY GUIDE got to the house, some of the posters were still on the walls and trees outside the house.
