Dr. Bawumia Electrifies KNUST

Students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, last Saturday went ecstatic when NPP Vice-Presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia toured the campus to interact with the students and campaign for their mandate come December 7th. Arriving at short notice to the student populace and University community, Dr. Bawumia was mobbed by hundreds of students who could not control their excitement at meeting Nana Akufo-Addos running mate. The KNUST visit which was part of the NPP Vice-Presidential candidates ongoing youth tour, commenced at continental hall where students running into their thousands met Dr. Bawumia at the entrance of the hall and heralded Dr. Bawumia to meet with the leadership of the Hall and interact with numerous other excited students in their blocks and rooms. The students who took turns to shake and share their opinions with the former Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana, with visible excitement written on their faces, cheered thunderously as Dr. Bawumia moved from block to block familiarizing with the students. Arguably, Dr. Bawumia received the biggest reception when his tour of the campus reached the wholly female hall, Africa Hall, where Dr. Bawumia and his team were given a rapturous welcome with hundreds virtually queuing to grab a handshake and chit chat with Dr. Bawumia. The hall was so electrified that virtually every student came onto her balcony to catch a glimpse of Dr. Bawumia and listen to him while he addressed the students after touring various blocks in the hall. The tour of the campus which also took Dr. Bawumia to the Republic, Queen Elizabeth and Independence Halls where the NPP Running Mate was met with similar excitement ended at the Katanga Hall where Dr. Bawumia met with the leadership and interacted with several students. Speaking at the various halls during the tour, Dr. Bawumia indicated that Ghana was at the crossroads and that the verdict on December 7th would ultimately shape the future of the youth and the nation. He stated that Ghana had a clear choice to make as the contrast between the NPPs transformational agenda and the NDCs business as usual scheme could not be any clearer.
