Konkombas Rally Behind Nana Addo

Hundreds of Konkombas at the Agbobloshie Market in the Odododiodio Constituency of the Greater Accra region have declared their support for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to ensure a resounding victory for the New Patriotic Party (NPP). According to the group, the people at the Agbobloshie Market face many challenges. Addressing a gathering at the launch of Justice Cell at Agbobloshie Market over the weekend in Accra, the president and founder of the Association, Samuel Malu Lasiem said the people at the Konkomba Market had realized the need to support Nana Addo and the NPP to capture power. He said since NPP proposed the free SHS education programme and a special policy to improve the wellbeing of Kayayes, the Konkombas in the Market have resolved to vote out the corrupt and incompetent National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration. Lasiem said Konkombas constitute one third of the people in the Odododiodio Constituency, who are mostly Kayayes. He therefore stressed the need for all Konkombas in the market to vote massively for the NPP. The president noted that the leaders of the NDC have nothing good to offer Ghanaians, noting that the prudent policies of the NPP would benefit the poor and the needy. Lasiem noted that with the inauguration of the association they would work hard to strengthen and motivate people at the market to vote for the NPP. We should all come together to promote the agenda of Nana Addo so that the NPP is voted back into power, he said. Highlighting the benefits they derived from the NPP during the Kufour administration, he said, We acquired the Yam Market Office that serves all persons despite party affiliations under the NPP whilst this market received electricity under the NPP regime. He said the NDC had failed to execute a single project after almost four years at the helm of affairs, adding that the AMA boss had failed to effectively execute his duties. We want NPP to come back with reasons that although things were not all that better for us in the Kufours administration, our condition was far better as compared to the current situation under the NDC regime, he said. Touching on the essence of the inauguration of the Justice Cell, the coordinator of NPP at Odododiodioo Constituency, Osei Karikari told DAILY GUIDE that the leaders would tirelessly explain the policies of the NPP in order to convince people who are still not clear about the policies of the NPP. The official inauguration of the union was witnessed by selected executive members and party supporters.
