PNC Set To Denounce Hassan Ayariga

The Peoples National Convention (PNC) is set to denounce its Presidential candidate, Hassan Ayariga ahead of the December 7 elections. Speaking exclusively to Citi News, the PNC Policy Analyst, Atik Mohammed indicated that, Our party can no longer tolerate Hassan Ayarigas misconduct, hence the decision to denounce him." Mr Ayariga's performance at the Institute of Economic Affairs organised Presidential Debates, have been heavily criticised by sections of the Ghanaian media with some saying he made a mockery of the platform. The PNC flagbearer was almost excluded from the list of participating candidates in the second edition of the debates after excusing himself on the grounds ill health and in honour of the five day period of mourning dedicated to the memory of the late Alhaji Aliu Mahama. Mr. Ayariga has on several occasions also come under heavy criticism from members of his own party, for flirting with the NDC. According to Atik Mohammed, every Ghanaian sees him not to be representative of himself and of the party. He is seen as doing the bidding of the NDC which is dangerous to our image; Ayariga has sworn to destroy the PNC and I can assure him that we will not sit unconcerned. We will make sure we disown him as our flag bearer before he does any further damage. Atik Mohammed further hinted, we will, as a way of telling him and whoever is paying him, that the PNC cannot be sold and that that collateral damage will come to an end and we will be able to salvage our party, reconstruct it and make sure it gets stronger and more formidable in the coming years. The Policy analyst also expressed dismay over Mr. Ayariga's attacks on the NPP Presidential candidate during the last lap of the IEA Presidential debate. Mr. Hassan Ayarigas incessant attacks on the NPP Presidential candidate on the IEA Presidential debate platform justified our suspicion that he was doing the NDCs bid.
