Fifi Kwetey To Nana Addo: If You're A Man Of Integrity, Come Clean On Your Academic Journey

Clearly irritated by Nana Addos personal claim that he is a man of integrity, Fifi Kwetey, a Deputy Minister of Finance, has challenged the NPPs flagbearer to come clean on his academic journey between the period of 1962 and 1963 when he enrolled at the Oxford University. The deputy minister noted that the matter is a critical one because the person involved is seeking to occupy the highest seat in the land. These issues are important especially when you are aspiring to the highest position in the country. RAP, a pro-National Democratic Congress (NDC) group, claimed at a press conference in Accra that Akufo-Addos failure to include his Oxford University education on his Curriculum Vitae (CV) raises questions about his integrity. According to Felix Kwakye-Ofosu, the groups convener, it is demonstrable that Akufo-Addo was enrolled at Oxford University for the 1962/63 Academic Year but that left the University under unexplained circumstances. In response to the groups demand, the General Secretary New Patriotic Party (NPP) Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie hinted that his partys presidential candidate will not dignify such a triviality with a response while there were serious matters to tackle. But Hon. Fifi Kwetey rubbished the NPPs position on the matter, stating in strong terms that before electorates give a candidate their vote, they have the right to know all about the person they wish to entrust their mandate to. you broke into let say the bursary and you stole moneyor library and stole books, a stuff of that nature and you were dismissed and therefore you are unable to put those things in your CV (Curriculum Vitae), anytime that comes up, whether it is a company you are working for or an institution you are heading, you absolutely must be dismissed because you have hidden vital informationthat absolutely was going to be critical in determining whether you were fit enough to hold that position or not, he said. Addressing the issue on Radio Gold, Mr. Kwetey established that if Nana Addo could not proudly make known details of his academic journey, then Ghanaians should know that it wouldnt be safe living under him as their president. Am turning to think that possibly, when Nana Kofi Koomson claimed that Ghana was not safe under him (Nana Addo)Nana Kofi Koomson had something to know also about how exactly, where he was and what exactly happened to him during the academic journey, he maintained.
