The Chairman of the National Peace Council Very Rev Prof Emmanuel Asante says the Registration of Minors in the voters register is a recipe for disaster. He has therefore called on the EC and Parliament to do all it can to expunge the minor's names from the Register. Speaking to Radio Ghana from Kumasi, Very Rev Prof Asante said the only way to maintain the peace is to have a credible Voters' Register. Meanwhile, an educationist and a Lecturer at the University College of Education Winneba, Opanyin Kwabena Ampiah says the registration of the Minors has become a moral issue. He told Radio Ghana that the resolution of the issue has also become complex. He blamed a section of the public for supporting wrong doing.
