Konadu Rawlings To Voltarians: Vote Against NDC

Former first lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, has called on the people of the Volta Region to vote against the ruling party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC). According to her, both the NDC and New Patriotic Party (NPP) are morally at par and thus must not be taken seriously. Speaking on a campaign platform in the Volta Region for Parliamentary candidates of the National Democratic Party , Mrs. Rawlings said, in 2008, all of us said poverty was eating us up, that the poverty was too much for us; it was giving us a bath, it was clothing us and putting powder on us! We said we didnt want the poverty any more, we said the lies were too many. The fear that people were putting into the country was too much, the harassment was too much. So we all said we wanted a change! We did change, [but] only for the new people to be doing the same thing. The stealing, the lies, disrespect, the fear the same thing, she added. Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, who has abandoned her long-held ambition to contest the December 7 presidential election as flagbearer of the NDP, also expressed her disappointment in the Electoral Commission for disqualifying her form the presidential race. He [Afari Gyan] stood up and threw us all out that he has disqualified us. He has gone against the laws of Ghana that is why we in the NDP, we have sent him to court. So the court case has been on/off now the judge says on the 30th he will give his judgement. He is going to give his judgement when he wants! For him, its not important, for us in the NDP, its important!
