"NDC To Cut Power To Strongholds To Rig Elections"

The main opposition New Patriotic Party has accused the government of hatching a plot to cut off power supply to the strongholds of the ruling party for rigging purposes on the night of December 7 during vote counting. The NPPs Security Spokesperson Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku made the allegation on Breakfast XYZ Wednesday morning when he was speaking about his recent meeting with the Inspector General of Police over the partys security concerns ahead of the elections. Dr. Apraku said the NPPs intelligence reveals the government will ride on the back of the current load shedding exercise to execute the rigging plot on Election Day. We have picked up intelligence that they are going to turn off the lights in NPP strongholds and that this power outage is to prepare Ghanaians so that when it happens on that day then it would be no surprise. Now we have gathered better information which suggests that on that day the lights will be turned off in NDC strongholds so that everybody will say if it has happened in NDC strongholds then it is no problem. But a member of the governments communication team, Samuel George describes the allegations as baseless. When we have senior men in this country engage in the kind of irresponsibility that Dr. Konadu just engaged in to come and put out baseless and unfounded allegations. They are on an agenda to destabilise this nation, an agenda to create panic among the voters of this nation.
