Vice Prez Amissah-Arther Picks Up His Masters Certificate

The Vice President, Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur has finally picked up his 1980 MSc. Economics Degree from the University of Ghana, Legon. Addressing the press, he noted that as I said, this is a storm in a tea cup. This is such as obsession about paper certificate that, for somebody whos worked in this university, that people could doubt that the certificate was genuine or that the qualification was genuine, thats really the thing the surprised me. Well now, we have come, I have collected it so everybody has seen that there actually was a certificate." The debate over the educational qualifications of the presidential candidates of the ruling NDC and opposition NPP has intensified in recent weeks with various groups critiquing the Curriculum Vitae of their political opponents. The NDCs Research for Advocacy Platform at a press conference on Monday, announced their findings from e-mail correspondence with one Jeremy Drew; Manager of the Degree Conferrals office in Oxford concerning Nana Addos enrolment into the school. The Young Patriots of the NPP in response, informed media men at a press conference that the Vice President forged a 1980 MSc. Economics Degree from Legon. They thus charged the Vice President, Paa Kwesi Amissah-Arthur with dishonesty saying his name was neither in the year group nor was the University aware of his self-acclaimed graduation.
