PHOTOS: P-Square, Samini And Sarkodie Make History At �Top of the World� Celebration Concert

Award winning Nigerian Afro-Pop duo P-Square, Afro-Reggae show stopper Samini and BET Award winner Sarkodie made history in Ghana over the weekend. The three vibrant artistes performed to an amazing crowd coming out in their numbers to see this three big African artiste perform at the Independence Square in Accra during the �Top of the World Celebration� concert. It was a night of consistent excitement and quality stage performance which had the huge crowd on their feet from start of the show to finish. The hand waves, the cheers and sing along during the various performances were an electrifying sight to behold. Sarkodie �Obidiponbidi� who initially threaten to pull out of the show but for some reason decided to perform, set the stage and put out one of his best performances ever as the energetic crowd was screaming for more even when he was leaving the stage. Show stopper Samini who performed in place of Tema based R2Bees took over from Sarkodie with his authentic live performance as always and turned the show into a big party. Nigerian music super group, P-Square mounted the stage and changed the whole atmosphere and thrilled thousands of fans at the Independence Square in Accra on Saturday. All-round entertainers Peter and Paul Okoye sang, danced, interacted with the crowd and even surprised the crowd when they played some musical instruments live on stage. The ladies couldn't help but scream, dance and sing along as they dropped their repertoire of songs one after the other. The absence of R2Bees wasn't really felt because Samini was obviously a better replacement. At the end of it all the crowd, the media, the artistes and the organizers all agree that this would go down in history as one of the best organized and most attended event in 2012. For the first time people at VIP stands enjoyed the show and had fan as there were lots to eat and drink. The concert also witnessed performance of the special Flash mob dance by professional dancers and members of the public who entered to be a part of the Flash mob via Facebook. There were also performances by the Hip Life group D2, Heroes, winners of the 2012 Malta Guinness Street Dance competition, and Strongman, winner of the maiden edition of the Next Big Thing Hip Hop talent hunt. The free concert was organized by Malta Guinness to unveil the new look of the fortified malt drink. The new bottle is elongated to hold 330 ml of liquid, 10 percent more than before. It was ushered in with fireworks and free sampling for revelers.
