President Mahama commends parliament

President John Dramani Mahama on Friday commended Members of Parliament for helping the government of the National Democratic Congress to deliver the �Better Ghana Agenda,� from 2009 to date. �I Congratulated Madam Speaker, Mrs Joyce Bamford-Addo, for conducting affairs of the House with high sense of duty as the first female Speaker...I also thank MPs for helping the government to deliver the Better Ghana Agenda,� he said in the state of the nation address to Parliament, in Accra. The President said: �I take this task of delivering the state of the nation address with mixed-feelings. Parliament begun with President John Evans Atta Mills, he took office and managed the country in a manner that made the country stand tall.� he said. President Mahama, whose address was brief, also focused on the the economy, agriculture, education, infrastructure, health, energy, and he re-affirmed his commitment to transparency and accountability.
