There's Nothing More Scandalous Than Barton Odro's Appointment - Kweku Baako

Editor-In-Chief of the New Crusading Guide newspaper, Kweku Baako Jnr. has joined the many who think Member of Parliament for Cape Coast, Hon Ebo Barton Odros elevation to the position of a first Deputy Speaker of Parliament is a bad choice. The NDC MP, who was the immediate past former Attorney-General and Minister of Justice during the Mills-Mahama administration, automatically becomes Chairman of the Parliamentary Appointments Committee per the assumption of his new appointment. Some see his appointment as wrong because of his involvement in the controversial GH51 million judgment debt that was paid to businessman Alfred Agbesi Woyome; a case which is still pending in court. Kweku Baako thinks it is scandalous for Ebo Barton Odro to be in that position considering how he treated Justice Anthony Oppong, a High Court Judge who was presiding over the murder case of Ya Na Yakubu Andani ll. In a ruling that he (Kweku Baako) read, Justice Oppong recused himself from the case because he felt 'scandalised', 'bastardised' and verbally assaulted by Ebo Barton Odro. Speaking as a panellist on Peace FMs morning show Kokrokoo with host, Tweneboa Kodua, he said: I dont think there is anything more scandalous than this. I have a problem with all that; in terms of the ethics of our politics, but both sides approved of it and was accepted by all...God save Ghana and our ethics...
