Kwesi Appiah To Keep Faith With Fatau Dauda For Mali Clash

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah will keep faith with goalkeeper Fatau Dauda for Thursdays crucial game against Mali. The Ashantigold shot-stopper conceded two second half goals as the Congolese came from behind to sniff a point at the Nelson Mandela Bay stadium in Port Elizabeth. The 26-year-old, who marked his first competitive start for the Black Stars put up a standout performance that has earned rave reviews back home in Ghana. But after allowing two goals into his net, speculations have been rife the Ghana trainer could replace him with Adam Kwarasey. But coach Appiah insists he has absolute trust in the former Okwahu United glovesman to remain in post. All the three goalkeepers are wonderful but only one can be in the post at a particular time, I have decided to use Fatau at this point and I think hes doing well. It doesnt mean those on the bench are not good enough. All the goalkeepers have an equal chance of being in post. Let us support him. Dauda has expressed his desire to make the number position his bonafide property.
