Dont Mind Wereko-Brobbey; He Always Speaks Unintelligently P.C. Appiah-Ofori

Former NPP MP for Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa, P.C Appiah-Ofori, has asked Ghanaians to disregard comments emanating from a founding Member of the party and former Chief Executive of the Volta River Authority, Dr. Charles Wereko Brobbey, and not attach any seriousness to because he "lacks sense and speaks "unintelligently. The anti-corruption campaigner and outspoken former legislature stated that if they (the NPP) should heed to Dr. Wereko Brobbeys call, and forget about fighting the 2012 elections results in court, such electoral theft would continue anytime elections are held in Ghana. He was reacting to remarks by Dr. Wereko-Brobbey that the NPP leadership should direct their energies towards winning the 2016 elections and stop what he (Brobbey) referred to as self promotional gimmicks. Clearly appalled by the partys decision to boycott the Akatsi and Buem bye-elections because they have filed a petition of electoral fraud against the EC at the Supreme Court, Dr Wereko-Brobby said the reasons assigned by the party are illogical and nonsensical. The NPP founding member dared the NPP members to completely boycott all activities in Parliament if they want to be taken serious and also asked the partys MPs in all of the constituencies affected by the 4700 polling stations cited in the Supreme Court Petition, to step aside from Parliament pending the determination of the case. But in a rather sharp riposte, the former Appiah-Ofori Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa MP, in an interview during Okay FMs Mid Morning News Bulletin described his colleague NPP stalwart as someone who speaks unintelligently and who demonstrates a clear lack of sense in his speech. Dismissing suggestions that his description of the former VRA boss as someone who speaks unintelligently is harsh and insulting, Mr. Appiah-Ofori said he stands justified because Dr Wereko-Brobbeys actions clearly reflects it. "If someone should label me a thief and I know I am a thief, I wont argue over that; and if I am accused of opening my mouth without thinking or talking by heart and I know I do, it would not come to me as an insult," he said.
