Agyemang-Badu Credits Teammates For AFCON MVP

Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has hailed his teammates for winning two consecutive awards at the 2013 Nations Cup. The 22-year-old put in another solid display in the 1-0 win over Mali on Thursday. He was adjudged the official Man-of-the-Match by assessors after the Black Stars posted their first win of the tournament against the Eagles. The Udinese midfielders individual effort in the competition has now earned him back-to-back awards following picking up the Fair Play prize in the group opener against DR Congo. The ex Berekum Arsenals player has been enjoying tremendous plaudits and praise for his performances. He has however been quick to redirect all the praises to the entire Black Stars team. I feel very good, very proud but it wasnt only my effort, it was from my teammates as well, he told MTNFootball.com. We thank God for getting the three points we were after (against Mali). On whether another Man-of-the-Match performance should be expected from him in the final group game against Mali, Agyemang-Badu said: I am just trying to do my best for the nation so whoever emerges the best player or scores for me is fine, it is the win that is more important.
