NDC youths advised to be patient and work hard

Mr Henry Ametefe, former Volta Regional Deputy Minister has advised youths of the National Democratic Party (NDC) to work hard and be patient for reward and recognition. Mr Ametefe was addressing a rally at the end of the campaign trail of Mr Bernard Ahiafor, NDC candidate for the Akatsi-South constituency by-election scheduled for Tuesday, February 5, 2013. The by-election became necessary following the election of Mr Doe Adjaho Member of Parliament for the constituency as Speaker of Parliament. He said immature and inordinate jostling for recognition and reward would not be in the interest of the party's youth. Some of us have made over 30 years in NDC history, starting from the June 4, 1979 uprising, waited patiently and with hard work to be where we are today, Mr Ametefe stated. He called for unity in NDC ranks in the area and urged party members to eschew apathy in the Tuesday by-election to ensure victory for the NDC. Mr Ametefe asked the people to ignore the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) challenge against the 2012 election results, which the NDC won. Other candidates for the by-election are Ben Agbovi, Teacher, New Vision Party (NVP), Anthony Tsikata, Teacher, Progressive Peoples Party (PPP) and Evans Dzikunu, Lawyer, Independent.
