MOBA 89 Donates To Former Headmaster

Members of the 1989-year group of the Mfantsipim Old Boys Association have made a presentation of assorted items and cash to a former headmaster of the school, Mr B. K. Dontwi in Cape Coast. The delegation led by Reverend Nkum Wilson last Saturday donated assorted items and an undisclosed cash amount to Mr Dontwi who is the longest-serving headmaster of Mfantsipim. The MOBA 89 year group, which entered Mfantsipim in 1984, said they made the presentation to Mr Dontwi because of the significant impact he has made on their lives throughout their stay on the Kwabotwe Hill. Popularly known as Corrosive, Mr Dontwi was appointed school head in 1980 and bowed out after a successful tenure in 1997. He joined Mfantsipim in 1963 as a General Science, Biology and Chemistry teacher. He was appointed Assistant Headmaster in 1977, rising to the headmaster position three years later. Receiving the items the former headmaster expressed gratitude to his former students for the generous gesture, saying he felt proud to have served such a unique group of people at Mfantsipim. He counselled the former students to live exemplary lives.
