NDC Youth Advised To Be Patient

A former Volta Regional Deputy Minister, Mr Henry Ametefe, has advised the youth of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to work hard and be patient for reward and recognition. Mr Ametefe was addressing a rally at the end of the campaign trail of Mr Bernard Ahiafor, NDC candidate for the Akatsi-South constituency by-election. The by-election became necessary following the election of Mr Doe Adjaho Member of Parliament for the constituency as Speaker of Parliament. He said immature and inordinate jostling for recognition and reward would not be in the interest of the party's youth. Some of us have made over 30 years in NDC history, starting from the June 4, 1979 uprising, waited patiently and with hard work to be where we are today, Mr Ametefe stated. He called for unity in NDC ranks and urged party members to eschew apathy. Mr Ametefe asked the people to ignore the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) challenge against the 2012 election results, which the NDC won.
