Radio XYZ CEO David Lamptey Laid To Rest

Hundreds of sympathizers across the world today joined the family of Hon. David Lamptey to pay their last respect as his remains was laid to rest in Accra. The final funeral rites of the late CEO of Radio XYZ was held today at the Banquet hall before his remains was taken to the Osu Cemetary for burial. Hon. David Lamptey who was also the CEO of Sidalco Company limited and Dominion Oil died at the 37 military Hospital on Wednesday, December 5 after a short battle with illness. He was 61 years old. The late David Lamptey was a Theologian, Politician, Presidential Advisor and a successful entrepreneur and philanthropist. An ardent Christian by faith, Hon David Lamptey utilized the Christian principles to underpin and discharge his important roles and responsibilities of service as a Parliamentarian, businessman and entrepreneur. He served as a Parliamentarian for the Osu Klottey constituency (now Klottey Korley) where he spearheaded many development projects for the people of the area. In a tribute read by the Chief of Staff on behalf of President Mahama, he said "there are people who are destined to leave a lasting impression on the society in which they live. Hon. David Lamptey is one such person. "In these moments of grief, we owe it to reflect on the life of Hon. David Lamptey. He was not only a statesman, he was a subtle, yet innovative pioneer who for long time shaped the world around him and has left a dent in the universe. As such, he was and continues to be a guiding light for a lot of people. "You are a part of the lineage of visionaries, pioneers and creative thinkers that forged new paths in our Ghanaian landscape".
