The Central Regional Communications Director of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Allotey Jacobs has fired a barrage of salvoes at the New Patriotic Party(NPP) and its Greater Accra Regional Communications Director, Michael Ampong for calling him a fetish priest. �I�m not like their leader�these are the stupid statements that they do, very stupid statement.�he angrily stated. Allotey Jacobs called into Okay FM�s �Ghana Decides� programme on Tuesday afteroon, to react to an allegation by Michael Ampong, the Greater Accra Regional Communications Director of the NPP, that he was a fetish priest back in his hometown, Kormanten, in the Central Region, and therefore lacked the moral right to reprimand any man of God in the case of Rev. Isaac Owusu-Bempah. "When you go to the Central Region he was a fetish priest, and he has also been a pastor before...go to the Central Region,Allotey Jacobs, he was once a fetish priest. "He has no moral right to judge Owusu-Bempah that he is an 'antichrist', he has no justification or what so ever," Michael Ampong said. "People largely know him to be an 'Okomfo'(a fetish Priest) The �Educated Fisherman� did not take this lightly but rather rained harsh insults on Michael Ampong and the NPP, describing them as �stupid� and asking him(Michael Ampong) to have taken pains to check his background before coming out with such a statement. �They will just talk about people, maligning people they don�t even know and give them names�as politicians you have to go and search the background of that person, come out with the correct fact about that person,� he told Kwame Nkrumah host of the programme. He added; �I�m a Christian, I�ve never been a pastor�have not gone to �Nakaba�, but these are the stupid things that they say�that�s the stupidity of the NPP. �They are very stupid in this statement, they don�t think�the NPP are getting crazy and mad.� He debunked the assertion that he was a popular fetish priest in Kormanten, saying; �very few people know me, except my family but these are the stupid statements that they make, they don�t think. �They are very stupid people that is why Ghanaians did not vote for them. They don�t learn � behaving very stupidly, talking stupidity, living in stupidity�I will not behave like their leader,� he fumed.
