Prez Mahama�s Decision To Accept Supreme Court's Verdict Puts The Nation At Rest

Kwamena Duncan, a member of the Communications team of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) has said the President�s decision to accept any verdict of the Supreme Court concerning the petition challenging the results of the December 7th presidential election was in the right direction. According to him, his decision will put the country at rest and with the assurance that both parties; NPP and NDC will not be at each other�s throat when the ruling of the Supreme Court do not favour them. �It should not be the situation where if the final verdict of the Supreme Court does not favour him; then he will change his mind. He should stand by his word and accept it even when it does not favour him,� Kwamena said. President John Dramani Mahama has stated that he will respect the verdict of the Supreme Court on the petition challenging the results of the December 7th presidential election. The President indicated that he as well as his appointees is committed to the oath they had sworn to abide and defend the Constitution of Ghana. Speaking to Tweneboa Kodua(TK) on Wednesday�s edition of the �kokrokoo�programme on Peace FM, Kwamena Duncan said: �It puts us at a state of ease and puts the country at rest. We hope that as he have concluded on accepting the verdict of the Supreme Court, his appointees will also accept the results.�
