Nduom Group Marks CEO�s Birthday

The Nduom Group of Companies today marked the 60th birthday of the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom with a blood donation exercise in Accra. Mrs Roberta Torkornoo, Human Resources Manager of the Coconut Groove Regency Hotel said it was in response to the news that the nation�s premier hospital, Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) had run out of blood early this year, and to appreciate their CEO for his foresight and vision. She said staff of the Nduom Group were voluntarily donating blood to save the lives of others in the hospitals. Mrs Torkornoo encouraged all to help save the lives of people who might be in critical conditions in hospitals by donating blood. She said in 2012, the Group as part of its corporate social responsibility organised some donation to the Princess Marie Children�s Hospital in Accra.In an interaction with the Ghana News Agency, some of the staff expressed their joy to be part of the whole exercise. Miss Patience Kurugu said it was to help save the lives of others which motivated her to donate. Mr George Odoi Kpobi said he was contributing his quota to make sure that there was enough blood in the hospitals. Mr Karl Ato Yeboah, a staff of First National Savings and Loans, said he was undertaking the blood donation as a civic responsibility and also to show his appreciation to his CEO for the wonderful works he had been doing for them. Mr. David Dodzie, Senior Blood Donation Recruitment Officer at KBTH expressed his gratitude to the Nduom Group for embarking on the exercise and urged all stakeholders to donate blood to help save lives. The Nduom Group of Companies include the First National Savings and Loans, the Coconut Regency Hotel, and Gold Coast Securities, among other organisations.
