Students Advised To Seek Guidance In Selecting Courses

Mr William Agyapong Quaittoo, Member of Parliament (MP) for Akyem Oda constituency, has asked students to seek guidance from experienced personalities, in the selection of academic programmes. Some students make mistakes in selecting subjects because they do not know exactly what they are capable of doing. They must seek counseling to be able to choose their career courses correctly, he said. Mr Quaittoo made the appeal at a Career and Relationship Enhancement Conference, dubbed: Breaking the Barriers of Success 2013, held by the Church of Pentecost, at Akyem Oda. The MP expressed worry that some youth graduate from school without any specific plan to achieve their objectives in life. Mr Quaittoo appealed to parents to supervise the behavior and studies of their children and urged schools to strengthen their guidance and counseling units, so that students could be guided in choosing programmes for their career.
