Government Should Stop Doing Text Book Governance

The President of the Concerned Clergymen Association, Bishop Prince Benny Wood, has slammed the Mahama administration by calling its policies inhumane and describing the fuel prices increment as a sign of incompetence. The government must show it is a listening government and think through whatever they do and stop doing text book governance. All the countries that have used the text books are collapsing, he lamented. Bishop Benny Wood, clearly sounding frustrated, could not believe that, after the debate and cry of the Ghanaian populace on the proposed increment, the government went on to increase the prices of petroleum products . In the view of the Bishop, the government could have done the increment on any other day apart from a Sunday to avoid misunderstandings between transport operators and church goers. The government had the whole of Saturday to do it, he stressed. Speaking to Kaba on Asempa Fm on a Press release by the Concerned Clergymen Association, Bishop Wood stated that as citizens, it was our duty to help the government succeed, but this government is not making it easy for Ghanaians to get onboard the development train. The President of the Concerned Clergymen Association suggested that, the authorities of this country seek divine wisdom because, he believes, that is what we need to get us out of our many problems.
