Ghanaian Scholarship Students In UK 'Frustrated'

About 30 Ghanaian students on GETFUND scholarships in the United Kingdom have not received their allowances for the past six months. The frustrated students are said to be living with friends and relatives because they are unable to pay for their accommodation. One of them who spoke with XYZ NEWS on condition of anonymity from his base in Coventry University said they have not received any assurance from the GETFUND office. We came in September and before we left we were given an initial amount of 2,000 and they said the balance of 7,600 would be paid in December. But when we got here, what we were expecting is not what we met... now we are soo much constrained and the few people who had support from home are now harbouring some of our colleagues because they have been kicked out of their residence.
