The Member of Parliament for the North Tongu constituency in the Volta Region, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has told the Deputy Minority leader of Parliament that he is very happy to be a propagandist. Speaking to on Accra-based Asempa FM on Monday from his constituency, he explained that; �I don�t want to be in Dominic Nitiwul�s camp, a non-propagandist, and yet there is no logic, there is no consistency, there is no principle, there is no common sense. That is not attractive to me, I don�t want to be a non-propagandist if that is what he (Hon. Nitiwul) a non-propagandist is, and I don�t want to be there.� The Member of Parliament for Bimbila, Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, earlier sent a word of caution to Hon. Okudzeto to stop doing propaganda because he is no longer with the Information Ministry. The North Tongu MP wanted to seek clarification from the Speaker of Parliament as to whether it is appropriate and morally right for the NPP MPs, who claim not to recognize President Mahama as a legitimate President and refuse to vet his Ministers, want to be the first to question the Ministers on the floor of Parliament. He however added quickly that; �every MP must be allowed to ask questions. That is the right thing to do, but let there be some consistency. In one breath the election is credible; you are swearing yourselves in and have nominated one of your own to be Deputy Speaker of Parliament but you would not partake in the vetting of Ministers and would boycott the President�s State of the Nation�s address because you claim there were irregularities in the elections�. This is one of the many banters that have ensued between politicians because of the decision by the Minority in Parliament to the boycott of the State of the Nation address by President John Mahama on Thursday. The NPP MPs in the sixth Parliament of the Forth Republic have taken a categorical stance to stay away from anything that has to with the President due to what they call, irregularities in the elections in which he was declared a winner. The validity of the elections is however being contested in the Highest Court of the Land, the Supreme Court.
