Kwame Pianim Envies Nana Addo

A member of the New Patriotic Party Communication team, Hopeson Adoryeh has illustrated that the actions and demeanor of Kwame Pianim is a result of sheer envy of Nana Addo Dankwah Akufo-Addo. He said because he(Kwame Pianim) could not achieve his political ambition of becoming President, he still envies Nana Addos position as leader of the party and his ambition to becoming the next President of Ghana. He explained that Kwame Pianims attempt to stage a coup in 1996 in Ghana denied him the opportunity of contesting for the biggest seat of the land after the law court ruled that he could not contest for the presidency. He reiterated that the astute economist has not been happy ever since the law court put an embargo on his ambition from 1996 until he resigned from the NPP in January 2000; citing that Kwame Pianim stated in his resignation letter to the party his frustration in 1996. Hopeson Adoryeh, who was not surprised with Kwame Pianims submission said that; it was this same man who came out to vouch that the late President Mills was not corrupt. Kwame Pianim has stated in the Africawatch that the NPP Presidential Candidate and some leaders of the party should master courage to accept defeat for the benefit of democracy and peace in the country; adding that NPP exhibited intellectual laziness in the 2012 general elections. Speaking on Okay FMs Ghana Decides programme, Hopeson Adoryeh hinted that it does not make sense for any loyal party member to make such a statement in any medium at a time the NPP had petitioned the Supreme Court for irregularities in the 2012 elections. According to the NPP communicator, Kwame Pianim could have offered his advice to the party hierarchy if he meant well for NPP; urging that every member in a group should have collective mindset towards a goal.
