Dept. Minority Leader Tells Pianim: Stop Misbehaving Or Risk Opening Yourself Up For Insults

Hon. Dominic Nitiwul, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Bimbila and the Deputy Minority Leader of Parliament has cautioned Mr. Kwame Pianim, a founding member of the party, to stop chopping the emotions of members down by his unnecessary diversionary tactics and misbehaviour. It is very disturbing and very disheartening to hear people of his stature talk like thishas he seen the evidence of the party? ... Does he know there are people who queued at midnight? Does he know there are people who were maimed because of their support for this party? I know someone who was sacked from his job immediately he declared support for the NPP party, and we are still battling the case in court, he stated. Speaking to Peacefmonline.com in response to Mr. Kwame Pianims interview with the Africanwatch, in which he claimed that the NPP executives exhibited Intellectual And Mental Laziness during the just ended elections; the MP for Bimbila explained that, he was not expecting such comments from Mr. Pianim but they would ignore him and move on with their work. He added that, the elderly statesman should be sensitive to the plight of the party faithful who have lost one way or the other and the over five million Ghanaians who have put their trust and hope in the party. According to him, the best Kwame Pianim could have done was to behave like a full blooded member of the NPP, and addressed all his concerns to the party leadership instead of attacking the party in the media without knowing the evidence at hand and creating the impression that all the leaders of the party were not knowledgeable. The NPP MP claims, the astute Ghanaian Economist and former Chairman of the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC), only sought to divert attention. The Deputy minority leader maintained that, respect is reciprocal as such Kwame Pianim should learn to respect the rank and file of the party or risk insults from the members he is embarrassing now.
