Swiss U-17 World Cup winner, Kofi Ntiamoah Nimeley has written to the Ghana FA to make his decision to play for Ghana official. The 19-year-old announced his decision to play for his country of birth late last year haven flourished at the youth side of FC Basel. Nimeley was part of the 2009 Switzerland U17 side that won World Cup in Nigeria. The talented right-back however prefers playing for Ghana and not Switzerland where he probably has a brighter chance of playing at senior level. He however needs confirmation from world football governing body, FIFA to make his switch effective despite not exceeding the cut-off age of 21. Nimeley has thus written to the Ghana FA as required to kick start the process which will hopefully make him eligible to play for Ghana from the U20 level in no time. He will however not make the Black Satellites� squad for next month�s African Youth Championships but could be available for selection for the World Cup if Ghana qualifies. On-loan Arsenal midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong is the latest to have successfully gone through the process of switching nationality after representing England at youth level. The others are Adam Kwarasey, Kevin-Prince Boateng and Quincy Owusu-Abeyie.
